Sheffield is quickly turning into a visitor destination, and not only for folks in the U.K. A big selection of attractions, events, and sites to see await Sheffield’s guests. Not such a long time ago Sheffield was a business giant. Not because of it’s size, but thanks to the amount and quality of the steel and other metallurgy products produced and sold there. In only one or two decades, Sheffield has been changed into an entertainment and cultural center together with a great traveller destination. Sheffield became well-known across the world by leading the way in metallurgy advances, and now spotting changing times, Sheffield is leading the way in a transition to culture, science, and entertainment. The Magna Center was the 1st Science journey Center opened in the U.K, and offers state of the art interactive displays featuring the elements ; earth, fire, and water. It makes it’s home in a previous steel works and is among the towns preferred attractions. At Magna, you can walk on air, fire a hydrogen rocket, support the controls of a JCB, and my favourite, shoot water cannons at human targets. A full day of fun regardless of what your age.
If you ever get bored with Sheffield then why not head up the country and visit Scotland. The Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is a great place to take your children and you’ll be certain of having lots of fun.
